Movsar Evloev Says Dana White Criticized His UFC 297 Performance, But Watched NFL During The Fight

  • Movsar Evloev Claims Dana White Criticized His UFC 297 Win Without Even Looking At It
  • The undefeated featherweight told the UFC boss that he is fighting for the title and not to entertain anyone

Movsar Evloev was criticized by Dana White about his last fight, but he was told the UFC president wasn’t even watching it at the time.

Speaking to the Badaev Podcast, the undefeated featherweight fighter opened up about his speculation that the UFC boss is hindering his path to a title shot. According to Evloev, it didn’t sit well with him when White downplayed his win over Arnold Allen at UFC 297 when someone saw the UFC president watching American football during his fight.

“Then for some reason Dana said my last fight wasn’t entertaining. Maybe he wanted to motivate me in some way or temper my championship ambitions a bit. Because he already understands that I’m close. Then we talked to Dan Lambert after the fight. He said, ‘Movsar, I was sitting next to Dana White during your fight and he was there watching American Football,'” Evloev revealed.

“He apparently placed a bet sometime around the time of my fight. He may not have even fully seen my fight. Maybe he somehow drew attention to my fight after illegal blows with one minute left,” he continued.

Movsar came for the title

When asked if he had ever talked to White about it, Evloev said he had and made it clear to the UFC boss that he was after the title and not White’s praise.

“I told Dana, ‘I’m not here to entertain you, I came here for the belt.’ I’ll take the belt, and then we’ll see,” Evloev said.

Evloev is undefeated in all eight of his UFC fights. He is desperate for someone who can get him a title shot despite an unblemished professional MMA record of 18-0. He is currently the No. 5 ranked featherweight prospect in the UFC.
