PSV permanently takes over Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich

Malik Tillman’s impressive loan spell at PSV has seen the US national team star earn a permanent move to the club.

Tillman joined permanently from Bayern Munich and signed with the club until June 2028. The news comes on the same day that PSV did not exercise its purchase option on Sergino Dest.

“I am very happy to stay at PSV longer. The first season was great and I hope we will continue to win many trophies in the years to come,” said Tillman. “That gives me the confidence that I am in the right place here and that I can develop into an even better footballer.”

Tillman was loaned to PSV in August last year and enjoyed great success in the Netherlands. The 21-year-old scored nine goals and added 15 assists in 37 combined appearances as PSV lifted the league title and reached the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Despite signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich last summer, Tillman will now return to international teammate Ricardo Pepi in Eindhoven.

“I am extremely happy that he is staying,” says PSV manager Peter Bosz. “He is only 21 years old, but has already taken so many steps in his development this year. That is nice to see and I am curious to see how he will develop further.”

Tillman has two final matches on his schedule before heading into a busy summer with the USMNT.
