The NFL games on Christmas Day could be heading to Netflix

Is the NFL coming to Netflix? Possibly.

While the NFL has made deals with other streaming services, such as Peacock and Amazon Prime Video, they have never agreed to broadcast games through Netflix’s streaming package. But that could change in the near future.

Netflix may become the next streaming giant to partner with the National Football League, according to former NFL quarterback and football analyst/broadcaster Boomer Esiason. Specifically, Esiason sees Netflix becoming the home for Christmas Day games.

“Don’t be surprised if the NFL and Netflix go to bed for some fun football games on Christmas Day, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

Netflix has shown a tendency to not only become more involved in live sporting events like the upcoming Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, but also producing NFL content like Quarterback.

With the NFL hosting as many as three Christmas Day games each year, it’s not unreasonable to think that Netflix could launch one in the near future. Considering that they already have millions of subscribers, Netflix could be an ideal partner for the NFL. However, that doesn’t mean everyone will be happy.
