Cody Rhodes’ King & Queen Of The Ring challenger has decided

At Backlash 2024, Cody Rhodes outlasted his first televised challenger for his newly won Undisputed WWE Championship, defeating AJ Styles in a thrilling main event. On SmackDown last night, General Manager Nick Aldis revealed his next challenger for the upcoming King & Queen Of The Ring premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

His opponent will be reigning United States Champion Logan Paul, who stepped up to take on Rhodes. The pair exchanged words, with Paul taking credit for the buzz around the likes of Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, rather than it being about Rhodes’ victory. Rhodes stuck to his guns and said the honor is for everyone to share.

During their promo fight, it was suggested that Rhodes also wanted to get his hands on the US Championship to make himself a Grand Slam champion, although there was no confirmation as to whether this would indeed be a title versus title match. With the contract signing set to take place next week, we’ll likely see confirmation either way. If it is indeed a title-versus-title match, the winner would hold both the WWE and United States Championships simultaneously for the first time since Seth Rollins won both at SummerSlam 2015.
