Bailey is in his contract year with TNA Wrestling.

Dating back to late 2021, when he was offered a contract after his match, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey was part of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

Regarding his future, he told Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso that 2024 is his contract year.

I make the most of every opportunity I get. This is my contract year. I do everything I can to make the best use of my time. I’m glad I’m now on a tag team – Speedball Mountain – with Trent Seven. I want those tag titles. I want every title.

Elsewhere in the interview, Bailey stated that he would have liked to return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling for the upcoming Best of the Super Juniors tournament. He added that he works for TNA and they have to make these kinds of decisions.

I would have loved to go back, but at the end of the day, TNA is my home now and they make those decisions. Best of the Super Juniors is a celebration of the junior heavyweight style of professional wrestling, and I think it reflects my time as an X Division Champion quite well. The goal is to have great matches full of action and conflict in the ring, and Best of Super Juniors is an excellent place to do that. I love the tournament format, I love it when wins and losses add up and mean something. Last year was a highlight for me.

Bailey made it to the semi-finals of the 2023 Best of the Super Juniors and was defeated by eventual winner Master Wato.

On the TNA front, ‘Speedball’ is teaming up with Trent Seven. Together with Matt Hardy, they headlined the Under Siege special.
