A major pop star has accidentally ‘confirmed’ that she is one of the celebrities in Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls’ new Netflix show.

Last week it was revealed that Spice Girl Mel B had apparently been chosen to star in Bear Hunt, a multi-million pound adventure show fronted by Holly and Bear, which will air on the streaming giant next year.

The 48-year-old, who is known for her blabbermouth, is said to have told friends she signed up for the show – for which he is reportedly being paid a six-figure sum – to help pay for her lavish wedding to hairdresser Rory. McPhee, which will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Other rumored participants include Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas, model Leomie Anderson, The Saturdays star Una Healy and ex-rugby great Danny Cipriani. Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson was also said to be in the line-up but it is believed she will not be on the show as her people ultimately failed to reach a deal with TV bosses.

But while other contestants have remained tight-lipped about their involvement in the big budget show, which sees celebrities learn survival skills from Bear before chasing them through the jungle and if they outsmart him they win, Mel has posted on social media. videos from Costa Rica, where the series is filmed.

She was then pictured lying on the ground sunbathing as fans joked ‘that’s not Leeds!’(Instagram)

Mel posed in a bikini and was filmed stepping out of a sauna in the jungle before bravely taking a dip into an ice bath. After ducking her head completely under it, she quickly got out and was heard saying: “That’s fucking awful. F*** that shit.” She was then seen flashing V signs at the camera as a friend filmed the clip before laying down on a towel to sunbathe.

In the post, Mel wrote: “Luvvvv the sun and my ice baths are having the best time but that was HARDDDDD, maybe I’ll do it again, no I love my ice baths.” Fans were quick to comment, with one joking: “That doesn’t look like Leeds! (Mel’s hometown).” Another wrote: “I love you.” A third added: “Queen B,” followed by a flame emoji. When one fan asked where she was, another replied: “She will be on the Netflix show, she is filming the show in Costa Rica.”

And if the line-up rumors turn out to be true, things could be awkward if Una comes face to face with Danny as the former rugby star is feuding with her ex-husband Ben Foden. In 2010, then 25-year-old Ben made some comments about Danny that stick with him to this day.
