Maddie Haynes will make her professional debut in the U.S. this fall after playing in Europe for the past four years.

Outside Hitter graduated from Cal in 2020

California volleyball alumnus Maddie Haynes has officially signed with League One Volleyball (LOVB) Pro, joining fellow graduates Carli Lloyd and Morgan Beck Miller in the new American league.

A Rocklin native, Haynes played outside hitter for the Golden Bears from 2016 to 2019, earning All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention status her senior year. She started her professional career in Germany, playing for the Ladies in Black Aachen from 2020-21 before moving to Switzerland and competing with VBC Cheseaux (2021-22) and Viteos NUC (2022-24). She was named “Best Spiker” at the 2022-2023 Swiss Cup and won two titles in the Swiss Cup and the Swiss League, later leading Viteos NUC to second place at the Confédération Européene de Volleyball (CEV) Cup.

LOVB Pro will announce its full team assignments at a later date and begin its first preseason in November.
