Mike Bailey – ‘I want every title in TNA!’

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, TNA wrestler “Speedball” Mike Bailey announced that he is currently in his contract year with the promotion.

Bailey expressed his desire to make the most of his time in TNA and promised to deliver his best performances during this period.

Below you can watch some highlights from the interview:

About his TNA contract: “I make the most of every opportunity I get. This is my contract year. I do everything I can to make the best use of my time. I’m glad I’m now on a tag team – Speedball Mountain – with Trent Seven. I want those tag titles. I want every title.”

On his active schedule: “I no longer keep track of how many matches I wrestle. I know I played twelve matches over WrestleMania weekend. And I have no intention of slowing down.”

On still not having what he thinks is his breakthrough moment: “I feel like I’ve had breakthrough moments throughout my career. You still see the biggest stars in wrestling having breakout moments. Nic Nemeth is a fantastic example. He did one thing for years and now he’s doing something completely different. I haven’t achieved what I want to do yet. While I like what I’m doing now – it’s very satisfying – it’s only a tenth of what I plan to do.”

On not competing in this year’s Best of the Super Juniors in NJPW: “I would have loved to go back, but at the end of the day, TNA is my home now and they make those decisions. Best of the Super Juniors is a celebration of the junior heavyweight style of professional wrestling, and I think it reflects my time as an X Division Champion quite well. The goal is to have great matches full of action and conflict in the ring, and Best of Super Juniors is an excellent place to do that. I love the tournament format, I love it when wins and losses add up and mean something. Last year was a highlight for me.”
