Moreover, he also revealed his thoughts on the ongoing controversy surrounding ‘King Ry’. He revealed that VADA never came out and made the test results public, even though the commission never denied it. But when Devin Haney took to social media and accused Garcia of using a banned substance, which Sonnen said Garcia should never have confirmed.

Following Haney’s accusation at the press conference after losing via KO to Garcia, the 28-year-old boxer took to social media and blamed a possibly contaminated ‘Ashwagandha’ supplement. However, there was a twist. Although he remained stoic and true to his knowledge that he was not using a PED, Garcia did not deny that he was under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.

Sonnen stated: “We had Garcia come out himself to confirm that Haney’s reports were accurate. You just look around and wonder, ‘What’s going on here?’ Why on earth would you do that? Why did you participate in a voluntary action in the first place? But furthermore, why do you confirm what appears to be slander?” Nevertheless, “Uncle Chael” seemed confident in Garcia’s denial of PED use.
