Delaware Online/The News Journal wins 23 MDDC awards


Delaware Online/The News Journal won 23 awards at the 2023 MDDC Press Association Awards, including in categories such as Courage in Journalism and Best of Show.

The MDDC Awards, which honor news publications from Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia, announced the winners on May 2. A first and second place winner will be chosen for each category based on circulation distribution. Delaware Online/The News Journal is part of the largest circulation division, competing with newspapers such as the Baltimore Sun.

Of the 23 total awards, five included Best of Show awards and the Courage in Journalism Award.
