Former WWE Champion sets his sights on Gunther

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley has called out Gunther for not playing him in a match. Gunther, the Ring General, recently lost his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40 after holding it for a record reign of 666 days.

Since losing the title, he has competed in the King of the Ring tournament. As for Bobby Lashley, he recently lost an opportunity to become the number one contender for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Undisputed Championship against LA Knight.

After the defeat, Lashley also participated in the King of the Ring tournament and sent a message to Gunther. During the recent edition of WWE’s The Bump, Lashley spoke about wanting to meet Gunther. He also mentioned that The Ring General pulled out of the challenge in the past.

While Gunther has entered the second round of the tournament, it will be interesting to see if Bobby Lashley gets his wish and battles Gunther in the King of the Ring tournament.

WWE’s Sheamus explains why he doesn’t want to wrestle Gunther

The latest edition of WWE RAW saw the first qualifying round for the King of the Ring tournament. Sheamus took on Gunther; however, the Celtic Warrior fell short again against Gunther.

After the loss, Sheamus sent one message telling the fans not to expect a fourth match between him and Gunther. Sheamus recently took to Twitter to explain why he won’t be facing the former Intercontinental Champion in a fourth match.

With Sheamus losing his chance to win the tournament, the Ring General has advanced to the second round and will face the winner of Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston. The match between Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston will take place this weekend on WWE’s live event show.
