Tennessee vs. LSU softball score updates, SEC tournament quarterfinals

Tennessee softball is going for the sweep again this season.

The Lady Vols won their second straight SEC regular season championship for the first time last weekend. They captured the SEC titles last year, also for the first time, and for the third time in conference history they have a chance to capture the titles in consecutive seasons. LSU and Florida are the only two teams to accomplish this feat.

No. 1 seed Tennessee (40-9) kicks off the SEC Tournament against No. 8 seed LSU (39-14) at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Alabama on Thursday (11 a.m. ET, SEC Network). UT won the series against LSU at home this season and lost only one game, 1-0, against the Tigers.

The Lady Vols completed the sweep of Kentucky and ended the regular season with an eighth-inning walk-off victory on Saturday. They have now posted their 21st consecutive full season of 40 or more postseason wins.
