Four Penn State men’s lacrosse players named to USA Lacrosse All-American teams

Four Penn State men’s lacrosse players were named to the organization’s USA Lacrosse All-American Teams announced Thursday morning. TJ Malone, Grant Haus, Jack Fracyon and Alex Ross were all recognized.

Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Malone was recognized as a second-team All-American after setting career highs with 40 goals and 34 assists this season. Malone was recently selected in the third round of the PLL College Draft by the Maryland Whipsnakes.

Haus, a fifth-year defensive midfielder, was named to the third team after collecting 25 ground balls and forcing three turnovers this year. It was his second USA Lacrosse All-American nomination and he was also named to the All-Big Ten Second Team.

Goaltender Fracyon and defenseman Ross rounded out Penn State’s selections after being named All-American honorable mentions. Fracyon was named Big Ten Specialist of the Year after leading the conference with a .589 save percentage and 13.88 saves per game in the regular season. Ross, a sophomore, forced 13 turnovers and collected 29 ground balls on the year.

The No. 9 ranked Nittany Lions travel to No. 7 Georgetown on Sunday, May 12 at 2:30 PM in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
